What if we all had the capacity to see our life experience clearly and respond to it wisely?  Our mindfulness classes will help children, teens and parents to focus on the present moment with kindness and compassion, to take responsibility for their actions and to relax and roll with the punches.  Get ready to become more attuned to your child, as your child becomes more attuned to his or her world.

We are in the process of scheduling the next series of Inner Kids classes in Los Angeles for children, teens and their families.  For more information email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Inner Kids Classes for Four and Five Year Olds and their Parents

In this class for four and five year olds and their parents, you and your child learn practical and playful mindful awareness techniques with real-life applications at work, home, in school, and with friends. Age-appropriate songs, games and other engaging activities provide parents and children with tools to help them calm down when they are upset, regulate their bodies and voices, and improve attention within an overall framework of kindness and compassion for self and others. We have fun practicing mindfulness with parents and children together for about half of this hour-long class and the other half of the class children play Inner Kids games with Susan while parents meditate and share with Tandy. Classes are taught by Susan Kaiser Greenland, JD, author of The Mindful Child (Free Press, 2010) and Tandy Parks RN MPH.

Inner Kids Classes for Children in Early Elementary School

You and your child will learn practical and fun mindful awareness techniques with real-life applications.  Age-appropriate songs, games and other engaging activities provide parents and children with tools to help them calm down when they are upset, and to regulate their bodies and voices to improve attention. See how you and your child become more attuned to each other as you practice mindfulness at home, in school, and with friends.

Inner Kids Classes for Children in Late Elementary School

Children will learn groundbreaking mindful awareness activities that they can take into the real world.  Catchy songs, cool games and clever activities provide kids with the ability to “chill” when they are upset, as well as to become aware of how to use their bodies and voices to focus on the task at hand.  Participants will become inspired to take what they learn out of the classroom and practice mindfulness at home, in school, and with friends.

Inner Kids Classes for Middle and High School Students

Learn to take mindfulness awareness activities to the next level.  This course has been adapted for tweens and teens, incorporating classical mindfulness and meditation training.  Participants will learn to manage stress and calm themselves down, emphasizing methods to go with the flow and to regulate their bodies and voices to improve focus.  These years are the perfect time to adopt mindfulness techniques that middle and high school students can use throughout their lives, in school, with friends, and eventually at work.

Inner Kids Mindful Parenting Class
